  • Using velum paper creates a very nice subtle, sophisticated look.
  • You should use a candle, jar, or votive glass that is round and not tapered.
  • You will need to measure height and width (diameter) and create your label to be 75% of that height and 110% of the diameter. (ie. a 2 1/2 inch tall and 4 inch diameter votive glass will need a label that is around 1 7/5 inches high and 4 3/8 in width).
  • Open a new blank image to the size you determined after measuring.
  • Open your invitation design and resize the invitation to the desired height and width. Or open your candy wrapper design and crop the front text box to the appropriate size.
  • Copy and paste the resized image onto the middle of your blank image.
  • Use spray adhesive to affix the label to the glass.

  • Then open your invitation design and resize the invitation to 80%.
  • Copy and paste the resized invitation onto the middle of your blank image.

Your selection should be approximately 2.5 inches high. Copy your selection and paste as a new image. Your certificate is now ready for text. A nice finishing effect is to enclose the certificates with top and bottom layer of card stock.
  • Lollipop Card3.5 X 2.5Invitation (50%)
Use high quality 54-67lb card stock paper for printing.
  • Click here for printing tips. Start by resizing your invitation design to 50%. After printing your cards, use a hole punch to place two holes on the left-hand side of the card (about 1/2" from the edge) that will accept the lollipop stick. The positioning of the holes will vary depending on the size of the lollipop. Once inserted, apply tape over the back of the card to secure the lollipop into place.

  • Preparing The Designs
When you are using designs for business applications, remember to resample the images to match your printer settings before you resize and add text.

You may need to resize the image to fit the new layout. The goal in resizing images is to retain as much image clarity as possible. If you lose image clarity after a resize, undo the resize and do the following:

Apply Effects >> Noise >> Edge Preserving Smooth (set this to "1" for a 100 dpi image, "7" for a 300 dpi image, etc.). Now resize your image to the size needed for your project. If you find that you still need to correct the image after resizing, apply Effects >> Sharpen >> Unsharp Mask and modify the settings until you are satisfied with the clarity of the image.

    Printing Tips
  • Because every printer's capabilities are model-dependent, it is best to do a test run. This will allow you to adjust your printer's margin settings, printing resolution and image placement.
  • If you will be creating a lot of wrappers (i.e. wedding reception), invest in a paper trimmer which you can get from most office supply stores. Trimmers designed for personal use cost between $12-$18 and will expertly trim your wrappers and save a tremendous amount of time and energy.
  • Detailed paper suggestions, increasing image dpi/resampling, and printing information can be found Here.
  • Using printer ink can be costly, especially for wrappers with intense colors. Save ink by printing one set of wrappers, then run off color copies at your local copy or office supply store.
  • Create beautiful edges on your wrappers using fancy edge scissors found at most craft stores.
  • Glue sticks can be used to seal the wrapper, but double-sided tape provides a cleaner, more professional finish.
